At least eight  cities  or towns in Alabama have enacted either breed bans or breed-specific regulation.

People who fight dogs:

People who abuse dogs by dog-fighting can be charged with a Class C felony.  Possession of dogs for fighting and being a spectator at a dogfight are also Class C felonies, punishable by 1-10 years and fines up to $5,000.
